Koon Fuk Yin graduated from the CUHK in philosophy and later acquired his master degree in the HKUST. Koon founded the voluntary artistic society PerformNow (http://www.performnow.hk/) with Juilliard pianist Mr. Ernest So in 2005, organizing concerts of different scales for promotion of classical music and for providing local musicians with platforms where they can expose their musical yields. As a local amateur pianist, Koon has been keen on participating in numerous musical occasions, including his first concerto performance when he was featured in the 1st movement of the 2nd Piano Concerto of Rachmaninoff in Oct, 2006 by the HKUST Orchestra. Koon is an avid collector of classical CDs and piano scores.
