Bio - Youn Ling

Youn Ling read Law at the University of Hong Kong. She began her vocal training with soprano Esther Fung when she was an undergraduate student and continued her music studies with soprano Ella Kiang.

Youn appeared as soloist in the Hong Kong City Hall with Ella Kiang Singers. She gave her first joint recital with soprano Teresa Tang in 2006 at the Music and Drama Institute. She performed twice in St. John’s Cathedral Lunch Time concert series and has been soloist with Music-go- round which she co-founded with pianists Edmund Cham and flutist Joe Li in 2007.

Youn has a wide-ranging repertoire extending from classical to contemporary music, with a particular interest in lieder and art song.
